Day 25 - 40 Days of Prayer - Dave Wasserman

Praying is listening to the wind, watching it on the water, and then setting the sails so you can go where it will take you. To be too stubborn in our praying is to fight a battle you cannot win. To be too soft in our sail-setting is to end up going no-where.

Great God of the Wind - help our church listen and watch well at this General Assembly and then guide us as we set the sails of your great ship - our part of the Church - so that we may go well where you are taking us anyway. Freshen our faces by your breeze, especially if our stomachs may heave a bit by the ride. And day and night - on the open waters of your great sea called life - help us to trust...You...in Jesus Christ.
