Shawn Reilly, the Executive Director at our St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, has invited me to broadcast this invitation to ALL Executive Pastors and Executive Directors of large churches to attend the "2012 Presbyterian Church USA Executive Pastors/Directors Conference."

Some of you might have churches that will fit this category and benefit from this network event.
When I asked Shawn what a “large” church is, he replied: “More like 1,200 in attendance but we are not hard and fast on that. We tend to talk a lot of strategy and best practice for large Churches. A church that is over 1,200 can have different issues then a church that is at 1,000 or less and probably manages things through a Senior Pastor. That thought comes from our friend, Lyle Schaller. I was hoping one topic of best practice will be about multi-site and new worshiping communities. We currently have a plan to meet the folks over at Saddleback Church and potentially talk about this with Roger Dermody.”
Anything that Shawn Reilly puts his hand to is done with excellence. I am confident that participants will have a valuable experience. I asked Shawn and he affirmed that ALL comers are welcome, regardless of geographical or theological distinctives. They just want to be networked across the church and to support one another to do their specialized ministry more effectively in our largest churches.
